This outstanding high SILVER classified Austrian import has a pedigree full of GOLD rated horses, ELITE bloodlines, and EUROPEAN and WORLD CHAMPIONS! Stellar is an excellent outcross stallion as he possesses fairly unique bloodlines, being one of a very few ST line stallions with modern bloodlines in the United States and is currently the only son of Straden that we know of available in North America! Straden (Standschutz x Mory-an Andrit mare) is the top ST-line breeding stallion in Austria! He won first place in his age group at his yearling stallion inspection and was classified 1a at the 2010 and 2005 World Shows. At the 2010 World Show two of Straden's daughters classified 1a won their classes, and the Straden son, Stilton, also classified 1a, placed 2nd in his class and was named the Reserve World Champion Junior Stallion!
(Above photos taken as a three-year-old at the 2011 AHR Inspection & Classification.)
In 2011 Stellar made his show debut on-the-line, continuing the champion winnings of his heritage! At his first show, the USDF rated Buck's County Horse Park Dressage Sport Horse Breed Show in Pennsylvania, Stellar was named RESERVE CHAMPION colt/gelding (3 & under--open/ALL breeds) and won first place in the open three-year-old colt/gelding class, qualifying him for the Great American/USDF Breeders' Championship East Coast Series Final in the Colt/Gelding Championship at the prestigious Dressage at Devon! At his second show, the Stone Tavern USDF Dressage Sport Horse Breed show in New Jersey, Stellar once again qualified for the East Coast series final at Devon, placed second in the Haflinger IBC class the first day, and was CHAMPION Haflinger the second day, winning first place in the Haflinger IBC class! At Dressage at Devon Stellar ribboned against the warmbloods in two very large classes, including the Colt/Gelding Championship class, and was third place in the Haflinger IBC class! To top it off, Stellar was named CHAMPION (three-year-old Haflinger colt/gelding) and RANKED FIRST IN THE NATION--Haflinger three-year-old colts/geldings--in the 2011 USDF All-Breeds Dressage Sport Horse Breeding Awards program, and 16th in the nation out of all three-year-old colts/geldings ALL BREEDS of horses! In fact, Stellar's median scores were higher in both the open competition classes as well as the IBC classes, than ALL other Haflingers--all sexes/all ages--that participated in the 2011 All-Breeds DSHB program! Stellar received scores up to 72.3% in the open classes, with a median score of 71.125%, and scored up to 74.4% in the Haflinger IBC classes, with a median score of 70.5%! If that wasn't enough, Stellar was the highest inspected stallion on the 2011 AHR U.S inspection tour, with a score of 77 points, including a 9 on head and 8s on type, overall movement, hindquarter, midsection and front legs! Wherever Stellar goes, he receives comments from judges and spectators alike on his stunning color and amazing temperament and character! We couldn't be more proud of our exciting young superstar, and are grateful to Jennie and Chelsea Deephouse and Dreamfield Manor Farm for giving him such a great start in his show career!

In 2010, a few months after we purchased Stellar, we presented him for inspections with the American Warmblood Society (AWS). We are proud to announce that Stellar scored very high red preferred--missing blue preferred by only .75% of a point--even though he had never been off the farm at a venue like this, and even though he still had some growing and maturing to do! Stellar's score won him the fourth place ranking in the nation out of all breeds in the sport pony division of the AWS National Year-End Inspection Awards Program! Better yet, this wonderful ambassador of the breed was a true gentleman and won the hearts of everyone at the inspections--including the inspector! Comments from the inspector include: good use of hind, good rhythm and tempo, nice uphill profile, nice balanced conformation with a long neck, nice withers, nice long croup, nice front legs, plenty of bone, and very kind, wants to do what asked. We plan to bring Stellar back for his approval for breeding status and performance test through AWS when he has progressed in his under saddle training in another year or two.

Standing @ 14.3H and growing, Stellar is a true gentleman. He is a very modern, tall, sport-horse type stallion, combining substance with clean bone, and his rich, vibrant metallic copper chestnut color and bright white mane and tail are absolutely stunning! This athletic stallion is a very correct and outstanding mover, with a powerful, uphill, ground-covering stride, and he possesses excellent conformation, with a short, well-muscled back, strong loin connection, and a fantastic hip/hindquarter seldom seen in this breed! The AWS inspector commented on Stellar's rhythmic stride and purity of gaits. Stellar also has a beautiful head with a perfect narrow strip and large, kind eye, which he received a 9 for at his AHR inspection in 2011! Only two other stallions in the history of AHR inspections have received a score of 9 on head, and both of those stallions are gold classified.
His outstanding movement combines wonderful freedom of shoulder, extension up front and engagement from behind, and should enable him to excel in dressage and other sport horse disciplines as he progresses in his training. In addition to his "stellar" gaits, Stellar also has a "stellar" temperament! He is very easy to handle, even during collection, and has a wonderful personality and excellent character.
This amazing young stallion was imported as a foal at his dam's side by Gail Baum of Twin View Ranch and was bred by one of Austria's most well-respected and successful breeders, Erich Scheiber. We were very interested in Stellar as a weanling, but were unable to purchase him at that time. It seemed like fate when the opportunity came available to purchase him as a two-year-old! Stellar's dam, Chione, received a 77 on her inspection in Austria as a three-year-old, with 8s in type, movement, head and neck. In June 2010 Stellar's dam won the six-year-old mare division and the overall mare division championships with a score of 76.2% at a USDF Sport Horse Breed Show in California.
Chione is by Altess (Amadeus x Dorlis), winner of the 2000 Stallion Inspection in Austria and World Champion three-year-old at the 2000 World Show. Altess is a full brother to the three-time World Champion and European Champion stallion, Abdendstern. Chione's dam is Clari (Mordskerl x Clarissa), a GOLD rated mare in Austria who received a 9 in movement at her inspection there. Amadeus (now deceased) is a world champion and European Champion himself and the highest GOLD classified Haflinger in the world at 85 points, and is out of Afghan II, the first World Champion Stallion. Both Amadeus and Afghan II have multiple winnings with their offspring in stallion collection classes at past world shows.
Dorlis won her class at the 2005 World Show, was the reserve champion in her mare class at the 2000 World Show, and won the mare offspring collection in the young stock collection of mares at both the 2005 and 2000 World Shows. She is the dam of the 2000 World Champion mare and the 1998 European Champion mare and Elite Mare Show Champion, Dorata, and the 2003 European Champion mare and World Champion mare Dematteo--both full sisters to Altess--as well as the three-time World Champion stallion Abdenstern (2010, 2005, 2000).

Stellar is trained to drive single and double and received glowing reports from his trainer, who says that he was a perfect gentleman, even when harnessed with a mare that was in season! He is also trained to ride, and again received glowing reports from his trainer regarding his intelligence and excellent character and temperament. Stellar was lightly started under saddle in 2011 with Jennie Deephouse at Dreamfield Manor Farm in Pennsylvania. He will make his performance debut under saddle in 2012 with Carrie Wilson of Wilson Sporthorses in Michigan. We expect great things from this young superstar in the future!
(Above photos taken as a three-year-old at the 2011 AHR Inspection & Classification.)
We are expecting two Stellar foals in 2012; one from our ELITE mare, R Noble Rose APF, and the other from her silver classified daughter, Romantique of Lilac Farms, who is sired by the SUPREME stallion Arno van het Nieshof. We are very excited to see what this exceptional breeding will produce!
Stellar will be available to a very limited number of approved outside mares in 2012 via A.I. only (both on the farm A.I. and transported semen available). Fresh, cooled shipped, and frozen semen available. All semen handled through Spectrum Horse Service/Spectrum Equine Reproduction Center
in Elsie, Michigan. Live foal guarantee and discounts available. Additional breeder's incentive include cash back to any Stellar offspring that wins their class at the National Show and National Futurity! Discounted return breeding on any Stellar foal who wins their SIP class! Stellar will be enrolled in the Stallion Incentive Program and his foals will be SIP eligible. Stellar's foals are also eligible for registration with the American Warmblood Society.
We are very proud of "Rock Star" as he is affectionately known, but don't take just our word for it. Below are comments from the professionals who have worked with Stellar thus far:
Stellar spent some time on my farm as a yearling. What a lovely disposition and GORGEOUS mover!
We are very fortunate to be given the privilege of representing Haflinger stallion Stellar TVR for the 2012 breeding season. We have been excited about this fine young stallion from the moment we met him in late 2010. He encompasses the very term "the sum of the parts equal the whole", as he has incredible conformation, balanced forward movement and a temperament equal to that of a trusted and loved lap dog. His soft gentle eye immediately captivates you and his elegant expressive face is the perfect icing on the cake. We have so enjoyed working with this intelligent stallion, as he is very quick and eager to learn. Very willing and trusting. It would take no longer than a few moments for any true horseman to recognize the high quality of this stallion. Surely the future promises to be bright and exciting for this stallion as he makes his debut in performance and as his foals begin their appearances within the show world.

Stellar TVR is one of the most affable equine characters that I have had the pleasure of working with in a long time. He came to us for under saddle training, as a 3 yr old stud colt in the middle of his first breeding season and maintained a levelheaded work ethic. We found this young stallion to be both intelligent and accomodating during his training rides and at all show venues when he came out with us. At Dressage at Devon, Bruce and Staci Griffin were totally enamoured with his gentlemanly disposition. We here at Dreamfield Manor Farm are looking forward to meeting his first foal crop and feel sure that he will pass on his generous and kind personality. Thank you to New Horizons Haflingers for allowing us to work with such a sweetheart of a young stallion.
